The bottom area of a check is called the codeline, and without it your bank will not be able to cash or deposit the eCheck. If you have an eCheck without the codeline, you will need a new printout of the eCheck.
Accessing your eCheck
Depending on how you received your eCheck, there are a few ways to access it again.
- If you still see the check image, skip to adjust your print settings.
- If you've received a retrieval link, and it states the check is locked or already retrieved you'll need to contact us with your check number and amount of the check located on the right side of the email.
- If you have a lockbox, you'll need to log in and select Receive Checks in the top menu. Once in your main lockbox, select Account History/Checks and View your check to print.
- If you were sent a PDF file of the check, locate the email or file and open it to print again.
Regardless of how you received the eCheck, your issue is most likely a printing error that can be fixed by using the below method.
Adjust your print settings
Depending on your operating system and PDF viewer, your method may change slightly.
- If using a PC, you'll need to select a scale to fit or fit to page option.
- If using an Apple device, you'll need to select Show Details and select the scale to fit or fit to page option.
