If you are the owner of the account, you can transfer ownership to a new email. It is easy to do with a few simple steps.
Note: You have to transfer ownership before you can delete the old email you used to log in.
- First, add the new email as a new member to the checking account you would like to change the email address by selecting Send Checks on the top of the screen, then, on the left side of the screen go to SETTINGS and click on Members
- Enter all the information for adding a new member.
- Make sure to give it all the same permissions you already have.
- To Transfer ownership to the new email, Click the red “transfer” button
- Choose your name, with the new email address, in the Drop Down menu.
- Check “I understand.”
- Click the blue “Transfer” button.
- You will get a message that the Transfer is Pending.
- Now you need to log out of eChecks.com.
- You will have some emails from Deluxe Payment Exchange in the email inbox you are transferring to.
- Open the one that says “You are invited to Join Deluxe Payment Exchange” and activate your account.
- Once your account is activated you will see you have Pending transfer to View.
- Then you can accept it.
- At this point you can go back to Settings/ members and delete the old email if you like.
Remember: When you log in again, you will use your new email and password.
