Why isn't my Memo Line displaying correctly on the eCheck?

The eChecks memo field has a limit of 50 characters, including spaces.  This is shorter than the 60 character limit used for the memo line field in QuickBooks Online. 

If the memo field passed from QuickBooks Online to an eCheck is longer than 50 characters, the text will truncate at 50 characters.  The eCheck will still process correctly – without generating an error message – but will display the memo text differently to the eCheck recipient from what the sender sees in QuickBooks Online.
