To enhance security, Deluxe Payment Exchange (DPX) has added a new API setting to every User Profile. For those with current DPX accounts, this value has been set by default to ensure your current service continues uninterrupted.
API for Direct Integrations, Mobile Checkbook & eChecks Add-ons
The new setting can be found by navigating to your User Profile (log in, click the User Name in the upper right-hand corner and then select Profile from the drop-down menu).
What the new setting controls:
- The checkbox under the new setting authorizes your DPX account credentials for use with direct eChecks API integration or the DPX Add-ons . This includes the Mobile Checkbook app (iOS and Android) and the QuickBooks Desktop plug-in.
- The default for this setting is ‘unchecked’. If the checkbox remains unchecked and your DPX account credentials are used by a direct API integration or one of the Add-ons, you will receive an email notifying you about an attempted login without proper authorization. To correct this problem and allow use of your account credentials by the API, check this box and retry.
