Voiding an eCheck is not the same as a stop-payment issued by your financial institution.
What does voiding an eCheck do?
Voiding an eCheck serves two purposes:
- If the recipient hasn't retrieved the check yet, voiding stops the payee from being able to print the check.
- The check may no longer be verified using our verification system.
If you do not have the option to void a check that you wish to prevent from being transacted that check has already been accessed. It is highly recommended that you issue a stop-payment with your financial institution.
