“Guaranteed” means if you received a qualifying eCheck and select to use a Deposit Service, the funds cannot be taken away once they are in your bank account. If the check ends up bouncing, you don't have to worry.
Whether a traditional paper check that is sent in the mail or an eCheck, every check has the risk of being returned (i.e. bounced, NSF). One common reason for returned checks is insufficient funds in the senders' checking account. When a check is returned, the recipient does not receive the funds and now must request and receive another check from the sender to get paid. Check returns can be a real hassle and delay how quickly you can access your funds.
